Welcome to the all new Blue Peter Inn website.

The Blue Peter is often referred to as "the last pub before France" or as simply as "The Blue", being situated on the quay side in the beautiful Cornish fishing village of Polperro.

A favourite of locals and visitors alike, the Blue has been serving fine beers for decades. The Blue has always tried to promote good beer, live music, local artists and fine food.

The Blue Peter is situated in an idyllic setting in Polperro, nestling between ancient smuggling cottages.

"The Blue" overlooks both the sea and the picturesque harbour, making it an ideal dwelling for that perfect pint.

Talking of perfect pints, we pride ourselves in selling only the finest Traditional Ales from Cornwall. Guest Ales from Devon and National Breweries are always on tap - you'll be spoilt for choice with what is on offer. Try a pint at "The Blue" and you'll see what we mean.

Food.

Fabulous fresh food is available from our fantastic menu that changes daily, and obviously fish, crab and scallops are on the top of the list! We serve the finest of fresh food, and we do cater for all diets, and have a wonderful vegetarian choice; our Smuggler's Stew is made to a secret recipe, and is "a must", we've even had a mention in a couple of National Magazine's - so we can "blow our own trumpet" with pride! Be prepared though at busy times for a wait, as everything is prepared fresh to order - but it is worth waiting for, and anyway, the beer's great!

This and that

We have altered our outside area upstairs from a small 6 seater garden, to an amphitheatre type seating area, where visitors can now sit more comfortably and enjoy the setting! You might even think you were at the "Minnack" (near Porthcurno).

We are proud to have launched our evening menu. We have had people travelling far and wide for our lunch time menu and following numerous requests, decided to offer food to suite all pockets & tastes in the evenings too.

We have a pleasant family room upstairs for children who are accompanied by "well behaved parents"!

We invite dogs but only with "big spending owners" - which is normally the case, once we've plied the dogs with enough bonios that they refuse to leave - even better when they always seem to find their way back with the owner in tow!

Entertainment

Entertainment is a regular feature at "The Blue", with excellent Artistes most  Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday afternoons (keep an eye on our music play lists from the menu to the left). A Sunday afternoon session at "The Blue" is not to be missed!! We also have regular gig's in the week days during the main Summer months.

All in all, a visit to "The Blue", whether it be for a quick drink, and on your merry way, or a "drinkers session" ensuring you leave by our personal motto - "I've been wrecked At The Blue Peter" - (tee shirts are on sale so you can prove your point!) will be an experience that you will never forget!
